The HF antenna building nights were held January 30,31 and Feb 7, 2007
The 12 antennas built were 4 band (80,40,20,10) shortened dipoles (3 coils per leg). Approximate length of the antenna is 54 feet. Everyone had a good time hand winding their coils and assembling the rest of the antenna. Their soldering ability was put to the test (for some these were new skills) and everyone did a great job. Thanks to Al VA7QQ for reserving the Legion room for us (as well as his professional janitorial services) and Garry VE7EIY for his design input, construction guidance, and use of his inductance meter. To all that built antennas, thanks for coming out and supporting these project nights.
