Vernon Winter Carnival
Parade 2004 |
|
The day began with breakfast at Denny's Restaurant at 7:00 AM, and then moved to the staging area along 27th Street. From 8:30 AM through 12:00 Noon volunteers organized the parade by guiding and ensuring each entry was in its pre-assigned position. At preciously 12:00 Noon the parade began with radio amateurs continuing to direct floats, bands, marching units and vehicles into their correct location within the parade. After the parade, all volunteers were invited to a volunteer appreciation party at the Vernon Lodge. |
|
This year’s
parade provided the first opportunity for NORAC to try out its new ATV
system with Bill VE7VTC and Bob VE7EZI operating the equipment. A good time was had by all. |
