December 8-9, Big White Ski Resort Surrounding Area

This year's performance rally promises an exhilarating two-day adventure, set against the breathtaking snowy backdrop at Big White Ski Resort.

We are delighted to offer our volunteers complimentary shared accommodations to ensure you have a comfortable stay while you're making the event a success.

Here’s what’s happening:
Friday, December 8: Assist with stage setup and recce sign-off.
Saturday, December 9: Race day! Be on the frontline of rally racing excitement.

We are currently looking to fill a variety of volunteer roles, and as always, no previous experience is necessary—just your enthusiasm and dedication!

Lunch will be provided on December 9 to keep our team fueled up and ready for action.

And it's not all work; our banquet has officially returned! Join us Saturday night at for an evening of good food, great company, and rally tales to share.

You can register to volunteer here: https://forms.gle/mhmzo3AYhg1cd9c47 and mark your calendars for a weekend of rally racing you won't forget!

Big White Winter Rally

Mike VE7KPZ adds: I will be assisting for the Saturday (main) portion of the rally. I'll depart Vernon at 5 AM to be on course at my assigned position for 7 AM with lots of time to setup my radio before the course goes hot. Through the day I'll change to alternate locations along the course as directed by the organizers and provide radio support from there. I expect the morning will see simple HT use while the afterrnoon will see some cross-band repeat via my Kenwood TM-D710GA. I will be driving my SUV with winter tires and bring along a shelter and portable fire pit to cook up some prime-rib hamburgers. My team will include myself as primary volunteer along with my YL and possibly my nephew. I highly recommend bringing along a support crew to share in the roles of radio support, snow shoveller, fire keeper and chef. For this event we won't be taking up the offer of accommodation as we'll only be assisting with the Saturday event. We also likely won't do the banquet as by the time it's banquet time we'll more than likely wish to start driving home after a long day. But that's my plan. If you are at all interested in helping support this fun event (which this year is already up to 23 car entries - woohoo!) and want to know a little more about what to expect/how to make the most of it, let me know via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we can have a Teams call and I can get you up to speed with what is involved. And, I should mention, you don't have to be a radio operator to officially volunteer - non-licensed GMRS is useful as well (with a nearby HAM relay) or there are many other fun non-radio roles as well.
