On February 23, 2026 NORAC lost its founding treasurer, Harvey Bell VE7YH.
Harvey, previously Vernon and District Amateur Radio Social Club's president, became NORAC's first treasurer on November 6, 1975 and was heavily involved with/contributed to the club in those early years. For more about Harvey and his role in the early days of NORAC see the Club Early History page.
Harvey passed from this life to the next on February 23, 2026, at the age of 91. He will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters and their husbands: Karen (Peter) Feke, Kate (Rob) Stone, and Laura (Lance) Tifenbach, eight grandchildren: Jessica and Justin Feke, Harrison and William Stone, Zoe, Damien, Madilyn, and Nadia Tifenbach along with numerous extended family members and friends.
