Congrats to the entire team that pulled off a fantastic job with marshalling the parade this morning:
  • Jane VE7WWJ and Michael VE7KPZ
  • Aaren VA7AEJ and Molly
  • David VA7SZ
  • Chris VA7YYC
  • Jerome VE7JAR and son (pictured below)
  • Lindsay VE7LPG
  • Bud VE7KBK
  • Terry VE7TRZ and Nicolas VA7AZZ
  • Ted VE7UIH
  • Karen VE7WBZ and the boys
We had fresh newbies and the old familiar faces, everyone jumped into their jobs and did them well.

I heard nothing but positive feedback afterwards and while using a repeater (VE7EGO) might have been challenging for a couple of handheld radios, the benefit is all the hams in the region got to hear us in action.

Special thanks to Bob VE7EZI and Jane for all the organization work in preparation for this successful event. Jane was also on top of everything today allowing Bob to continue his recovery at home.

Again... hats off to everyone who worked today. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like a perfect amount of people to get the job done as well.

And nobody was complaining about overcast and plus 4 weather, that's perfect for a parade in February.

Ps: With each member volunteering approximately 4 hours of their time, that adds up to around 48 hours of service provided to the community. And then with Bob, Jane and Mike's preparatory time added to that, we're totalling about 60 hours of service.
