Welcome to the home of NORAC, the North Okanagan Radio Amateur Club

NORAC is centered in Vernon in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia's South Central Interior. With 56 members, our Radio Amateur Club provides communications for many events throughout the Okanagan. Some of the main community events in which NORAC participates are the Vernon Winter Carnival Parade, the Falkland Stampede Parade, and the Penticton Ironman Triathlon. Radio Amateur Club members are active in Canada Day and Field Day contests, maintain several VHF & UHF repeaters, and operate IRLP nodes and APRS trackers / digipeaters. Past club activities have included the Falkland International Sled Dog Races as well as provided communications for the Funtastic slow pitch tournament.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS AND WEBSITE VISITORS

Todd has handed over website duties to Aaren (VA7AEJ). The club executive has granted Aaren permission to handle the website work as well as develop an entirely new website that we hope will be more interactive for club members. Sam (VE7SDV) is also contributing on the project.

This new site is operational at Dargal Solutions our web host in Kelowna. The temporary address is http://new.norac.bc.ca/ We encourage everyone to bookmark this new address but remember it's only temporary while the site is under development. Upon completion our club website will be back at it's home address of http://norac.bc.ca/
