A recent donation of a gently used commercial 2-bay folded dipole UHF antenna was made to NORAC.

The VE7EGO UHF repeater has been using consumer antennae for the last year. Unfortunately, these antennae often fail due to the slightly-higher-than-normal wind at the repeater site. Moving to a true commercial antenna will allow us to sleep soundly knowing there will be no failure due to wind load. The 2-bay folded dipole also has a nice reach while still providing good beam height - perfect for a low-level UHF repeater.
The antenna will be placed into service as soon as possible by the NORAC technical team.
